Peter is a senior consultant, researcher and program manager in development cooperation. Since his studies of Human geography of developing countries, with a minor in Development economics, he has gained over 25 years of experience as a consultant, policy advisor, researcher and program manager in the fields of: sustainable agriculture, food security, value chains, trade for development, climate change and adaptation, extension, rural development, rural energy, gender, youth, livelihoods and Monitoring & Evaluation. He has been working for a diversity of clients including international institutions, private sector, multi-stakeholder initiatives, producer organizations, NGOs and universities.

As a lead consultant, Peter has evaluated multiple food security, value chain development, rural energy, farmer extension and climate adaptation programs and projects financed by the EU, DGIS, Danida, GEF, SIDA, FAO, international NGOs and private foundations. He also carried out market surveys and value chain assessments and trainings for different crops. Peter has longstanding expertise in value chain development in Africa, especially on cashew, cotton, textiles and sustainability.
